Pleasure Academy

We invite you to Sasha Dudin's "The Academy of Pleasure", a show inspired by the American series "Hung". The play shares with the show the story of a 40-something male escort, Alex, who is dating 5 powerful women at the Intimate Hotel. In "The Academy of Pleasure" the central character is sophisticated: he asks himself existential questions, he is an active participant in a literary circle, specializing in poetry. He himself is a poet, and at the core he is a physical education teacher at a secondary school. The female characters are also complex. The ladies with whom Alex interacts as an escort are mostly successful, career women, women who have worked day and night to reach the pinnacle of their careers and who have neglected their personal lives as well as their intimate lives. These women, behind their power and self-confidence, are vulnerable women, plagued by questions but also by desires. Vera, a project manager and matron, is also involved in the dynamics of these characters. It was she who came up with the idea of a male escort firm. "The Academy of Pleasure ingeniously combines true, sincere love with paid love; it combines poetry with commercialism.
