Simion Bogdan-Mihai, the traditional music collector-guitarist Simion Bogdan-Mihai, with the "Lăutarii de Mătase" (Silk Guitarists)!

Born in 1990 in Râmnicu-Vâlcea, Bogdan started studying the cobza at the age of 15. Since 2006, he has been traveling around Romania, collecting lute songs and learning from the few remaining cobzari left alive. He has collaborated with artists from diverse musical areas, such as Mihai Mărgineanu, Taraf de Haidouks, Les Elephants Bizarres, Chimie, Samurai and others.
Since 2017, he has performed numerous concerts of lute music with the Silk Lancers Taraf. He worked on the soundtrack of the documentaries "Flavours of Romania" and "Wild Carpathia" made by the British journalist Charlie Ottley.On May 1, 2021, he released the album "Valahia in Demol", and on May 1, 2023 he released the album "Road paved with boulders" which holds a small sales record (1000 copies sold out in 9 hours). Both albums were produced by Adrian Despot. Bogdan's music has three general directions: a vein of Romanian peasant music, a vein of urban lute music and a vein of generic Romanian pop music (waltzes, tangos and cabaret songs from the beginning of the 20th century, including waltzes, tangos and cabaret songs from the beginning of the 20th century, as well as the early 20th century. XX until after World War II).

The cobzar's sound is enhanced by Nelu Răducanu (bagpipe), Mandi Pană (violin), Cornel Neacșu (accordion), Robert Adam-Szoltan (double bass) and Cristi Adam (violin-braci) and Vicenzo Deacu (pianina).
