Day of the Sphinx from Bucegi at 2206 m
It is the day of the Sphinx of the Bucegi Mountains and we celebrate it on the plateau where it has been enthroned for thousands of years. We are invited and we have a moral obligation to honor this invitation with our presence.
Tuesday morning we meet at 7:50 a.m. in front of French Revolution in Piața Victoriei Bucharest or at 12:30 p.m. at the entrance to the route, the meeting place being in the Piatra Arsă Hut area. We meet at the proposed time, get equipped and enter the mountain path that takes us to the Sphinx. The pace will be leisurely because we want to enjoy the whole route and not just the proposed destination. Around 5:30 p.m. we return to the cars and arrive in Bucharest around 9 p.m.
