Piazzolla Tango Night 2.0 @ Filarmonica Brasov
PIAZZOLLA TANGO NIGHT - is intended to be a series of performances dedicated to the great composer Astor Piazzolla and his compositional genius, staged by the Association "Cluj Tango Orchestra" on the stages of the country's concert halls.
We return to the Brașov Philharmonic with pleasure, after the success of our first concert here in the spring of 2024.
Astor Piazzolla revolutionized Argentine tango music, putting his definitive stamp on this musical genre. Elements of jazz and classical music are found in many of the great artist's works, bringing his music to symphony concert halls ,thus becoming a world ambassador of the new Argentine tango.
The show lasts 90 minutes and is in one act, with professional Argentine tango dancers on stage alongside the orchestra, the European champions of Argentine tango, for the first time in Sibiu!
The protagonists of this show are:
IULIA MERCA- mezzo-soprano of the National Opera of Cluj Napoca,
MARCOS MARTHIN - singer-songwriter - Buenos Aires (Argentina).
