Brașov Wiener Ball - 2. Auflage
After the success of the first edition, this year the second edition of the Viennese Ball - Walz for change will take place at the Military Circle in Brasov, on November 1, 2024, in a project supported by the City Hall of Brasov.
The event enjoys the high patronage of the Austrian Embassy in Bucharest and the Austrian Consulate in Sibiu.
The Viennese Ball - Walz for Change is a cultural event of great refinement that aims every year to bring to the present day the specific atmosphere of the Viennese balls of the second half of the 19th century and to celebrate emblematic figures of Romanian culture. The 2024 edition pays homage to two prominent representatives of the Symbolist movement, the great composer Gheorghe Dima from Brasov and the poet Alexandru Macedonski, whose 170th birthday we are celebrating. Structured on the model of the original one, the Viennese Ball - Walz for Change is also an opportunity to involve, promote and reward the artistic skills of twenty students from the music and fine arts vocational high schools in Brasov, who will have the opportunity to register as debut dancers of the ball and to participate in a creative competition with prizes.
